Product Detail
Blue Cat's MB-5 Dynamix is an incredibly powerful all-in-one multiband dynamics processor. It can serve as a multiband compressor, limiter, gate, expander, waveshaper, or all combined, working on any part of the spectrum. The unique dynamics processing section from the Blue Cat's Dynamics plug-in has been refined and integrated here to process each of the 5 bands separately. The plug-in offers unique envelope detection, allowing one band to trigger dynamics response in others via an internal side-chain. With advanced stereo features like mid/side processing and independent channel activation, you have full control over signal dynamics for a wide range of effects. An extra brick wall limiter/clipper safeguards the output. It provides comprehensive visual feedback, showing spectrum, in/out levels, dynamics response, compression ratio, and in/out level of each band for every channel. The user - friendly interface streamlines the workflow. Despite its many features, it's very easy to use. Inter - bands controls like copy/paste and link let you create complex treatments with just a few clicks. Thanks to its advanced MIDI and Format - Automation output, it can perform advanced side - chaining. You can control other plug - ins with the dynamics processing output for various effects.
Using the Blue Cat Audio MB - 5 Dynamix is a breeze. First, decide which mode you want to use, like compressor, limiter, etc. Adjust the settings for each of the 5 bands separately according to your needs. You can use the unique envelope routing to create cross - band effects. For stereo processing, choose between stereo or mid - side mode and link channels as you like. When you're done setting up, use the dry/wet control for parallel processing. To protect your output, the brick wall limiter is there. Always keep an eye on the visual feedback to see what's happening with your signal. When using MIDI and Format - Automation, make sure your other plug - ins are compatible. As for maintenance, keep your software up - to - date. If you're not using the plug - in, it will automatically shut down processing to save CPU. And remember, when activating or deactivating the plug - in, it should be silent thanks to the smooth bypass feature.
