The Eventide Omnipressor, introduced in the early 1970s, was the very first dynamics effects processor. Invented by Eventide's founder Richard Factor, it opened the door to a wide range of effects. It offers variable control over all aspects of dynamic modification, introduced the'side chain' concept, and foresaw techniques like 'look ahead' processing that we use today. The Omnipressor plug - in is a faithful emulation of the 'black - face' unit. It's a favorite among top producers and engineers globally as a dynamics modifier with adjustable controls for a signal's dynamics. The Function control lets you set compression and expansion ratios continuously from extreme expansion to infinite compression and even dynamic reversal, which flips a sound's envelope. Using the Eventide Omnipressor is quite straightforward.
