Product Detail

Get two amazing analog preamps right in your DAW! The Slate Digital Virtual Preamp Collection (VPC) brings the true sound of two of the audio industry's most iconic microphone preamps to your digital audio workstation. Using advanced analog modeling tech, it recreates every detail of the preamp circuit, from gentle coloration to intense saturation and distortion. Originally designed for use with the Virtual Microphone System's VMS - ONE Ultra Linear Microphone Preamp, VPC can be used after any clean - sounding preamp to add extra charm. It can also give real analog preamp tone to any track or mix, and create awesome distortion effects when pushed hard. FG - 73: This module is based on a well - known British discrete solid - state preamp used in countless recordings. It has a bold, warm, and present sound that suits any audio source, even full mixes. FG - 76: Modeled after a vintage German tube preamp used in many classic recordings, it has a thick and colorful tone that makes tracks and mixes more lively. Its unique and musical bottom - end saturation makes it perfect for bass guitar and kick drum tracks.

Using the Slate Digital Virtual Preamp Collection (VPC) is easy. First, open your DAW. If you've recorded with the Virtual Microphone System's VMS - ONE Ultra Linear Microphone Preamp, you're good to go. If not, use it after any clean - sounding preamp. Just add the VPC plugin to your track and start adjusting the settings to get the tone you want. For the FG - 73, it's great for adding a bold and warm touch to all kinds of audio, so don't be afraid to use it on full mixes. The FG - 76 is awesome for bass and kick drum tracks, so try pushing it a bit to get that unique saturation. As for maintenance, make sure your DAW and the VPC plugin are always up - to - date. Keep your computer's system in good condition to avoid any glitches. When not in use, there's no special storage needed, just leave it in your DAW plugin library.
