Product Detail

The Trident 80B EQ plugin is modeled from a Series 80B Console. It precisely replicates the classic warm tones, strong presence, and powerful punch of the Trident 80B Series equalizers, which are highly favored by today's studio engineers. Based on the well - respected Trident 80B Range console from the 70s, this popular equalizer is now available in plugin format for DAW engineers.Trident Audio's plugin software is a great addition to any Mac or PC digital audio workstation (DAW). It comes in VST3, AAX Native, and AU formats. The Trident Digital Editions capture the essence of Trident's analog equipment classics. Using cutting - edge modeling techniques and Trident’s proprietary AWA (Advanced Wave Analysis) DSP engine, the Series 80B is accurately recreated for the digital world. Thanks to its signal processing technology, Trident Plugins are highly efficient and have low CPU demands. You can run multiple instances with minimal impact on your computer's performance. In today's digital recording environment, Trident Audio Developments, with over 50 years of analog recording history, offers the Trident Digital Editions Plugins. These plugins bridge the gap between analog and digital recording, allowing you to work with the iconic gear that produced many classic hit records. The controls include HPF (50 Hz In/Out), selectable Low Shelf (60 Hz/120 Hz, +/- 15 dB), sweepable Low Mid (100 Hz to 1500 Hz, +/- 15 dB), sweepable High Mid (1 kHz to 15 kHz, +/- 15 dB), selectable High Shelf (8 kHz/12 kHz, +/- 15 dB), and Polarity (Normal/Inverted). System requirements are MacOS 10.8 Mountain Lion - 11 Big Sur (Intel only), Windows 7 or above, a free iLok account and iLok License Manager. It supports iLok machine and iLok USB dongle methods, and the iLok license includes 2 activations. Apple Silicon compatibility is possible via Rosetta 2, and native Apple Silicon support is coming soon. Plugin formats are AAX Native 64 - bit (Mac and Windows), Audio Units 64 - bit (Mac only), VST3 64 - bit (Mac and Windows), and Legacy VST3 32 - bit (Windows only).

Using the Trident 80B EQ plugin is easy. First, make sure your system meets the requirements. You need a Mac running MacOS 10.8 - 11 Big Sur (Intel only) or Windows 7 or above, along with a free iLok account and the iLok License Manager. Once installed, you can start adjusting the controls. For example, use the HPF to cut out low frequencies below 50 Hz. The Low Shelf lets you boost or cut frequencies at 60 Hz or 120 Hz. The Low Mid and High Mid controls are great for fine - tuning specific frequency ranges. You can sweep through frequencies from 100 Hz to 1500 Hz for the Low Mid and 1 kHz to 15 kHz for the High Mid. The High Shelf allows you to adjust frequencies at 8 kHz or 12 kHz. And don't forget about the Polarity switch for different sound effects. When using multiple instances of the plugin, keep in mind that it's designed to be CPU - friendly, but you still want to monitor your computer's performance. As for maintenance, make sure to keep your iLok license up - to - date. Also, check for software updates regularly to get the best performance and new features. And if you're using Apple Silicon, wait for the native support or use Rosetta 2 in the meantime.
