Features include 5.0 and 5.1 meters along with all Dorrough Stereo meters. A single meter shows both average and peak levels, instantly responds to peaks, and averages overall levels. It has DTS, ITU/SMPTE, and Film/Dolby Digital modes. The 'Overs' LED lights up when over 3 samples exceed 0 dBFS. It helps you easily meet film and TV standards. Meters come in 3 sizes: small, large, and extra large. You can hold peaks for 3 seconds, hold them indefinitely, or reset them. There are controls for meter order, sum & diff/phase, and collapsing meters. It also has left/right, sum/difference, and phase correlation modes, with vertical, horizontal, and arc meter configurations.
Using this Waves Dorrough surround audio meter is a breeze. First, connect it to your 5.0 or 5.1 surround sound system. Once connected, you can choose from different modes like DTS or Film/Dolby Digital according to your needs. You'll notice the meter instantly shows both average and peak levels, giving you a clear view of your audio. If you want to check if there are any over - 0 dBFS samples, just look at the 'Overs' LED. For size preference, pick small, large, or extra - large display. You can hold the peaks for 3 seconds to analyze sudden loud parts, hold them indefinitely, or simply reset them. When it comes to settings, use the controls for meter order, sum & diff/phase, and collapsing meters as per your requirements. As for maintenance, keep it in a clean and dry place.
