Product Detail

The TAF Supercab IR Library is a masterpiece created by capturing a 3x12 Tweed Fender Vibrolux equipped with Jenson PQ speakers. This library holds a special place as it offers the iconic sound reminiscent of Clapton. The low - impedance driver of this amp gives a crispy, distinct sound, perfect for lower/upper harmonics or that edge - of - breakup tone. What's even more amazing is that this amp and its speaker were used in Abbey Road Studios and were part of many Beatles recordings. And it still works flawlessly in its original form to this day! This library is designed specifically for the TH - U Supercabinet. With it, you can graphically browse IRs, blend multiple IRs for custom stereo guitar tones, compose new cabinet tones using the unique Multiband mode, and export your crafted IRs in .wav format for use with major hardware modelers and software IR loaders. The specifications include a Jenson PQ speaker from a 3x12 Tweed Fender Vibrolux, using Neve1073/Neve VR Legend Console as the mic pre, with no pre - EQ and active HPF/LPF. The IRs were captured using 14 different microphones, each moved to four horizontal positions and two distances, resulting in 8 IRs per mic. All IRs in the library are phase - aligned, ensuring no phase cancellations when blended.

Using this Overloud TAF Jenz - P SuperCabinet Library is easy. First, make sure you have the TH - U Supercabinet. Once you've got that, you can start graphically browsing through the IRs in the library to find the sound you like. To create custom guitar tones, blend multiple IRs together. The Multiband mode is really cool; just play around with it to compose new cabinet tones. When you're happy with your crafted tones, you can export them in .wav format for use with your other hardware modelers or software IR loaders. As for maintenance, keep your software and hardware up - to - date to ensure smooth performance. When using the IRs, remember that they're phase - aligned, so you don't have to worry about phase cancellations when blending. Also, since this library has a rich heritage, handle it with care and enjoy the amazing sounds it offers, whether you're going for that Clapton - like tone or a unique creation of your own.
