Product Detail
The Echoleffe Tape Delay is an upgraded version of a 1961 all - tube tape delay. It adds a unique vintage charm to your recordings and mixes. It's not just a simple tape delay; it offers three operational modes: tape delay, tape saturation, and tube preamp. In Tape Delay mode, the EDT provides a highly versatile tape delay simulation. It can create anything from clear vocal echoes to space - like flange effects, inspiring your creativity. In Tape Saturation mode, the delays are turned off, and it becomes a dedicated tape saturator. You can add a gentle warmth or create extreme effects. The Tube Preamp mode adds a rich and warm glow to any signal. You can use it to customize the sound of your delays or warm up a track. The Echoleffe has three independently controllable delay lines for stereo effects. You can sync it to your DAW or set the delay manually up to 4 seconds. It also allows you to adjust tape age, motor and tape - head wear, and tape formulations. As a tape saturator, it can replicate the sound of analog tape used by top engineers. You can adjust all parameters to get the desired sound. The tube preamp is a precise recreation of a 1950s tube circuit, giving you full control to shape your sound.
Using the Korneff Audio Echoleffe is easy. First, decide which mode you want to use - tape delay, tape saturation, or tube preamp. For tape delay mode, you can either sync it to your DAW for note - based time settings or set the delay manually for up to 4 seconds. Play around with the three delay lines to create different stereo effects. You can also adjust the tape age, motor and tape - head wear, and tape formulations. In tape saturation mode, adjust the gain, bias, and other parameters to get the sound of analog tape saturation. If you want a gentle warmth, keep the settings low; for extreme effects, crank up the gain. For tube preamp mode, pass your signal through it to add a warm and rich tone. You can use it to customize the sound of your delays or just to warm up a single track. When using the Echoleffe, make sure your power supply is stable. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures and humidity. To maintain it, keep it clean and dust - free. If you're not using it for a long time, store it in a dry place.
