Using P&M OptoMax is a breeze. First, install it in your digital audio workstation that meets the system requirements. To start getting the right sound, set the Threshold so that compression begins at the desired input level. Adjust the Input Level to get the right strength of your input signal. Keep an eye on the GR Meter to see how much gain reduction is being applied. After compression, use the Makeup Gain to boost the signal to the right level. For quick response, set the Attack time, and decide how long the compression should last with the Release setting. The Surround feature can make your audio sound wider and more immersive, just turn it on. You can add the unprocessed signal with the Dry Input for different processing styles. The Tube function will bring back the warmth and detail lost in digital compression. Remember to turn on the Lookahead if you want the compressor to react before a peak. Use the Clipper to limit the overall output signal and check the Peak display for the level. As for maintenance, keep your operating system and audio workstation up - to - date. Also, don't install it on more than 5 computers as per the authorization limit.
